Intel Q2: 6% Remaining
Intel announces financial second quarter results. It should be noted, not happy: sales amounted to $ 6.3 billion., which is 24% below the indicators of the second quarter of 2000 and 5% below the results for the previous quarter. The company’s gross profit was $ 854 million., which is 76% less than last year’s result and 22% less than last quarter. But the net profit will make you flinch: only $ 196 million., which is 94% lower than a year ago, in the second quarter of 2000, and 60% lower than in the previous quarter, which in itself was very bad. Expected dividend of approximately $ 0.03 per share.
The management of the company, in connection with the dismal results for the quarter, lamented the significant drop in sales of flash memory against the background of an increase in the number of sold processors.
By the way, according to analysts, Intel’s sales in the next quarter will be about the same – about $ 6.4 – $ 6.6 billion.
