Dual-processor board 6A815EPD on i815EP step D from ACORP

ACORP’s 6A815EPD dual-processor motherboard is on sale in Japan.

Here are the brief specifications of the board (from the manufacturer’s website):

  • Form Factor – ATX
  • Supports two Intel FC-PGA PIII Coppermine, PPGA / FG-PGA Celeron processors (Tualatin core not supported)
  • FSB – 66/100/133 MHz
  • Memory – Three DIMM slots
  • Expansion slots – 5/1/1 (PCI / CNR / AGP 4x)
  • Integrated IDE RAID controller (Promise; PDC20265R; board option without IDE RAID controller available – 6A815EPD-1)
  • Audio – AC?97
  • Four USB ports

The i815EP chipset is not among those recommended by the manufacturer – Intel – for dual-processor configurations, so this mode of operation is guaranteed only by ACORP itself (by the way, we noticed the complete absence of the APIC module on the board).

The 6A815EPD board sells for 21,500 yen ($ 175), the price of 6A815EPD-1 (board option without a RAID controller) is not mentioned.
