Freshwater lobsters. Will a crayfish claw grow back?

Jan 12,  · Yes they grow back, It may seem cruel but clipping off the “thumb” portion of the claw will make them much safer to keep with fish, they grow back also (during moults). A fresh molt leaves the crayfish as soft as a gummy bear, and in the wild they’ll hide in burrow for days during this process. Also I should add young crayfishes claws pop off quit easily. I’m assuming these were at least a few inches. The claws will begin to grow back when she has enough stored energy. It may be both at a time or only 1. May 13,  · Kosmos How long does it usually take a crayfish to grow its claws and legs back? It’s a blue crayfish and I’m told that it was from Florida and is a rare crayfish that grows as big as lobster or something. Mar 01,  · It can be hard to notice but if your crayfish does not have a leg, claw, etc., it will begin the process of regenerating it. At first, it looks like a small nub. However, as the time for molting grows near, it will swell and become more defined. That looks like an adult crayfish; it will therefore molt only once or twice a year. It will take a couple of molts for it to fully regrow the claw. Therefore, it will take up to a year to have it regrow its claw. This will all be affected by temperature, as crayfish metabolism and thus molts increase as temperatures do. New CD / DVD-RW chips from Atmel

Atmel Introduces Two New Diode Laser Controller / Amplifiers – 3 Channel IC T0816 and 4 Channel IC T0820. New microcircuits are intended for use in new generation DVD / CD-RW drives.

The previously announced IC T0815 includes an integrated power amplifier (APC – Adaptive Power Amplifier) that allows you to connect a monitor diode directly to the IC, without the need for additional amplifiers. T0816 is similar to T0815, except for APC, which is not in it, for those drives where for some reason the built-in APC is not suitable. Both 3-channel solutions are aimed at high-speed (32x) CD-RW drives.

The 4-channel T0820 chip is aimed at DVD-RW and combo drives with 4x-8x write speeds, and is also suitable for the most demanding CD-RWs. According to the company, the T0820 can provide up to 16x CD-RW rewriting speed. This is made possible by the fact that the four channels in total can deliver currents up to 300 mA, while still providing a signal rise / fall time of 1.0 ns.

Chip packaging – SSO16 for both solutions. Chips are already available, mass production will begin shortly. Cost – $ 2.10 for IC T0816 and $ 2.50 for IC T0820 in large batches (from 10 thousand.).
