CD-R and CD-RW from TDK have risen in price
TDK Electronics has officially announced the rise in prices for its entire line of CD-R and CD-RW media.
Jim Browning, VP of Marketing at TDK, commented on the price hike: “ The CD-R industry needs price adjustments due to changes over the past two years. Overproduction of discs in the past year has led to serious price reductions, which hastened the exodus from the market of small and medium-sized CD-R manufacturers. Browning also said the average price hike is expected to be in the 30% range.
What can be added to this comment? Nothing new is said, in fact, a repetition of already known arguments. One can only rejoice in the fact that the rise in prices so far – at least officially – does not translate into the 300% predicted by analysts.
