Agfa refuses to release inexpensive scanners and cameras?

Agfa representatives announced that the company intends to abandon the release of a line of low-cost scanners and digital cameras. The arguments are the most familiar for the current moment: low demand and very low profitability of these products.

A spokesman for Agfa said that the decision cannot yet be considered final, but confirmed that, in any case, the company, as before, will continue to provide warranty service for already sold scanners and digital cameras.
