MacWorld 2021: PDA from Apple next week?

Before MacWorld in San Francisco, Apple is on everyone’s lips. Videos and pictures have already appeared with what should become Apple’s pocket PC – iWalk, about which there has been so much talk lately.

As for functionality, according to the source, iWalk has audio in and out, FireWire port, and Apple GigaWire interface. The most important part of a PDA – the OS remains a mystery. The interface is similar to MacOS X, but it is unlikely that this is it. There is also a Jog Dial on the side of the PC, making the iWalk very similar to the MP3 player on the iPod. IWalk can work both in landscape and in portrait position.

As always, you won’t get any comments before the Apple show.

Let’s hope iWalk doesn’t suffer the fate of Newton – Apple’s first attempt at entering the tablet / PDA market.

P.S. The picture is not worth trusting too much, as it again, like the previous “version” of iWalk, was taken from the SpyMac website. 🙂
