KT333 board from Lucky Star in March?
It was revealed that Lucky Star will release its board called KTVA333 in March next year. It is not hard to guess that this motherboard will be based on KT333 – the new DDR333 chipset from VIA, which should be the successor to the KT266A business. I do not know how much you can trust this information, but this is already better than “the first half of 2021”.
As a reminder, the main additions to the KT333 should be support for PC2700 and ATA / 133. In addition, it seems that the chipset will have even better debugged mechanisms for working the processor with memory and AGP.
By the way, by March 2021, judging by AMD’s promises, Thoroughbred, a 0.13-micron version of Athlon XP, should see the light of day. Perhaps it will operate on the 166 (333) MHz bus. Although so far this is all guesswork: it seems, after 266 MHz EV6 of the bus AMD thought to go immediately to 400 MHz.
