ATI misled stock holders. Result…

Another trial. ATI is accused of painting a false picture of the company’s financial condition and potential profit forecasts in front of shareholders. A “class action” claim (recall – a type of “open” claim that any potential plaintiff can join at any time) was filed in the United States at once by two law firms – Bernard M Gross and New York Milberg Weiss Bershad Hynes & Lerach – from faces of shareholders. The lawsuit says that ATI’s senior executives – CEO, first CFO and director – were the initiators of the violation of US law.

Anyone who purchased shares at an appropriately overvalued rate between January 13, 2000 and May 24, 2000 can now join the claim and claim compensation from ATI.

Of course, not a very pleasant fact for such a respected company. Those who filed a lawsuit have every reason to win it. The number (even approximate) of “victims” and the amount of the claim have not yet been announced.
