Problems with ECS K7S5A

According to OCWorkbench, some users have encountered a problem with the popular ECS K7S5A motherboard based on the SiS735 chipset. The problem lies in the incorrect operation of the board at the nominal frequencies of 133/133 MHz processor / memory.

This problem is solved quite simply – you need to peel off the heatsink from the chipset and use a more advanced thermal interface, since the factory thermal conductive adhesive tape is not of very good quality.

As always, we warn the experimenters that if you are not confident in your abilities, it is better not to engage in such a practice. After all, with a radiator, you can inadvertently tear off the chipset. 🙂
