Canon opts for calcium fluoride
Lithography lens maker Canon has announced a firm decision to continue working with calcium fluoride (CaF2) only for use in 157nm lasers, despite its high cost. In addition to being sorely needed for the current 193nm lasers that will be used in 0.10um process technology chips, Canon intends to produce calcium fluoride lenses for 157nm lasers targeting 0.10um process technology. 07 μm.
