Pentium III Tualatin – already in Japan
So, sales of the new Pentium III Tualatin processor started, traditionally, in Japan. 1.13 GHz models with 133 MHz FSB are on sale. Of course, the number of processors is very small. However, the price of chips in almost all stores is the same at 49,800 yen (about $ 405).

Admire: here it is, the “live” Tualatin, the heir to the Pentium III Coppermine, made in 0.13 micron process technology, equipped with a 512 KB L2 cache and powered by 1.45 V. Please note – the thickness of the processor is only 1.5 mm!

According to the Japanese website, the new Tualatin with 512 KB L2 cache will be (!) work with motherboards based on the i815EP step B chipset, which are already seen in Japanese retail, for example, Gigabyte GA-6OXET and ABIT ST6.
