KR7A-RAID: KT266A board from ABIT

Today ABIT unveiled a new KR7A-RAID motherboard with VIA KT266A as a northbridge and VT8233 as a southbridge.

KR7A-RAID is designed for use with AMD Duron, Athlon processor lines and new Athlon XP with FSB 200 MHz / 266 MHz. The board is equipped with four DIMM slots (up to 4 GB registered DDR SDRAM or up to 3 GB unregistered), an AGP 4x slot, six PCI slots, an integrated RAID controller (HPT372) with support for ATA 133 interface (RAID levels 0, 1 and 0 + 1) , four USB ports. The board is equipped with all kinds of hardware monitoring functions (rotational speed of coolers, voltages, temperature), as well as the “proprietary” SoftMenu III for self-configuring the board parameters. The timing of the start of mass shipments of boards is not yet known.
