TSMC: economical 0.13 micron process technology

Renowned contract chip manufacturer TSMC announced that it has developed a new 0.13 micron process technology that allows you to find a compromise between performance and power consumption depending on the specific needs of the device. The new process will find wide application in the manufacture of chips for electronic notebooks, mobile phones and similar devices. The new process will complement the baseline specification and performance-oriented standard created a year ago.

According to company representatives, the demand for such chips remains high, despite the general crisis in the industry. New process offers designers more options to increase productivity while maintaining low power consumption.

Large-scale production using a new technology option will begin in early 2021.
